Most incredible "animal" experiences of my life:

This past summer I was fortunate enough to have one of the most incredible "animal" experiences of my life! I am a veterinary student studying in Glasgow Scotland. As part of our schooling we are required to complete several weeks of extra-mural studies with various animals. I had the pleasure of fulfilling my horse requirements at Pringle Farms in Arden Ontario. I worked for two weeks with Kim Pringle, a Tennessee Walking Horse breeder. Kim was a wonderful mentor, teacher and friend. Not only did she teach me more about horse handling and ground work she also taught me how to "speak horse", through Parelli training. I learned more about horses and myself during those two weeks than I ever imagined possible. Watching Kim work with her horses was truly inspiring. She has a phenomenal respect for these majestic animals. It is clear that her gentle hand and horse savvy are much appreciated by her horses, as they, in turn have a great respect for Kim. The horses at Pringle Farms are not only physically healthy, but are beyond a doubt happy.
